Hi! I'm Sanne, an equestrian and avid traveller. I have been riding ever since I was a little kid and have been travelling since 2015. By combining these passions of mine I’ve been able to explore the world on horseback and have visited over 30 countries. I feel like it’s time to share all the lessons I’ve learnt and beautiful places I’ve been, and take you with me on yearly equestrian meet-ups!
After finishing international school in the Netherlands at 17 years old, my mom and I took a trip to South Africa and went on a horseback safari. I fell head over heels in love with the country, horses and landscape and decided to volunteer at that horse safari company for 3 months. So after returning from our holiday, I went back to South Africa within a few weeks. The next years involved lots of traveling back and forth between Africa and the Netherlands. In 2018, I tried to continue in the Netherlands, got a job, an apartment and started Medical school, but after just a few months I missed Africa so much it became hard to continue life in the city. In the summer of 2019 I travelled through South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and Malawi again and decided to drop out of Medical School. I pursued my passion for horses and travel and it was honestly the best decision I have ever made as I’ve never been happier. I truly hope my blog inspires you to follow your dreams and helps you get all the information you need for traveling the world on the back of a horse.
